Aero-Engines Americas 2021 takes place at the Fairmont Dallas, TX, USA, but it will also take place on the Brella virtual platform simultaneously. The hybrid concept refers to the combination of the in-person event and the virtual platform.
It means that if you want to attend the event but you cannot come physically due to travel restrictions, you can still take part from anywhere with an internet connection via Brella. We have launched a new virtual-only registration option to facilitate this, but you will still have access to Brella's excellent networking features if you attend physically.
Please note: If you register using the virtual-only option and then change your mind and decide you want to attend physically, you can upgrade by contacting [email protected].
The agenda content will be live-streamed directly from the conference room into the Brella platform and you will be able to network with the in-person and virtual attendees as well as sponsors and exhibitors through the one-to-one chat and video meeting functions.
Attendees of the 2020 edition of Aero-Engines Americas and Aero-Engines Europe Virtual will be familiar with the Brella platform. Brella was an app designed to enhance networking at in-person events through its matchmaking algorithm but has since been evolved into a full virtual and hybrid event platform.
Here is a breakdown of how to make the most of the platform:
Once you have registered for the event as an in-person attendee or a virtual one you'll be sent instructions to join the Brella Platform around 2-3 weeks before the event. You can join via your desktop using a "join link". For the best user experience and usage of the video networking feature, please access Brella via desktop and use the Google Chrome browser.
If you are an in-person attendee, during the show you may find the mobile app version of Brella more convenient to use. You can download the app by searching 'Brella' in the iOS and Android app stores. The join code will be emailed to you. The video networking function does not work on the mobile app.
Please Note: Once registered, please do not send your join link to others. The platform registrations will be constantly monitored and those that haven’t registered for the conference will be removed.
Set up your profile and let the matchmaking algorithm recommend attendees to connect with - saving you time and ensuring you get to meet the people who matter most for your business.
Depending on whether the attendee is an in-person or virtual one, you can either arrange a time and place to meet within the conference venue or you can schedule a video meeting with no additional downloads or passwords required! Reminder: The video networking functionality does not work on the mobile app version of Brella, you must access the platform via desktop in order to have video meetings.
The two day agenda will be live streamed directly from the conference venue into the platform and made available to all attendees on demand if you miss a session. The agenda will feature a combination of presentations and interactive panel discussions. No additional downloads or external links required for virtual attendees. Please note: All session times in the agenda are listed in CDT.
During the session you can post questions live to the speakers and contribute to polls. You can also arrange a meeting with the speakers directly to continue the networking. In-person attendees should contribute to Q&A and polling via slido.com, instructions will be given by the moderator during the sessions. In-person attendees can also raise their hand and request a microphone to ask a question to the speakers.
Alongside the tabletops in the Showcase area at the in-person event, our sponsors and exhibitors will also have a virtual booth in Brella.
All attendees will be able to view these fully customisable virtual booths, which act as company microsites with a logo, company description, contact details and social media links. In addition, attendees will be able to access the images, videos and documents the exhibiting company has uploaded to explain the products and services they are offering.
It also comes with a booth chat feature and all of the company's registered staff will be listed for attendees to connect and book video meetings with. If you are interested in becoming an exhibitor, click here.
